Wells Mountain Initiative

Wells Mountain Initiative (WMI) is a brand dedicated to fostering social change and empowering grassroots leaders in communities across 54 developing countries. At WMI, we believe that young people have the potential to create the changes they want to see in their communities and the world. Our mission is to support these unstoppable young leaders by funding their undergraduate studies in high-need sectors and helping them lead social service projects during their academic career.

We stand alongside them to address any challenges they may face to ensure their successful completion of studies. After graduation, we continue to provide lifelong support, including professional development and social entrepreneurship training, community development grants, and regular conferences and webinars. Through our efforts, we are building a global network of grassroots leaders and social entrepreneurs who tackle issues like gender inequity, educational access, health disparities, and climate change.

Our unique approach focuses on local leadership, global peer-to-peer collaboration, and building sectors in high-need areas to bring about sustainable change. Since our establishment in 2005, we have supported over 640 students and will continue to empower young people to become leaders and make a positive impact in their communities
