Welsh Charitables

Welsh Charitables RFC is a registered charity that raises money for worthy causes across Wales through rugby. The organisation supports charities including St Anne’s Hospice, WREX (the Welsh Rugby Former International Players Association), Tŷ Hafan, St David’s Foundation Hospice Care, British Heart Foundation Cymru and The Prince’s Trust Cymru. Its fundraising activities bring together rugby supporters, former players and local communities.

The club organises charity rugby matches, sportsmen’s dinners, celebrity golf days, tribute dinners and “Dinner with a Legend” events. These occasions celebrate Welsh rugby figures while raising funds, and regularly feature former Welsh internationals and British Lions. The club also offers sponsorship opportunities, such as match-ball and match-day sponsorship, programme advertising, website sponsorship, golf-day sponsorship and team-kit support. Supporters can contribute through cash or cheque donations, raffle and auction prizes, volunteering for collections, or organising their own fundraising events.

Alongside its charitable work, Welsh Charitables RFC helps identify and develop young Welsh rugby players in both 15-a-side and sevens formats, working in consultation with the Welsh Rugby Union and regional academy managers. It also welcomes new vice presidents and supporters who can contribute to its fundraising efforts.
