Wendy & Words is the professional editing and writing practice of Wendy Stuart, serving authors and other clients in Australia and beyond. With 16 years of experience and professional membership of the Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd), Wendy helps writers develop meaningful ideas into clear, engaging and purposeful work. Her approach combines editorial expertise with creativity, intuition and empathy, while respecting each writer’s authentic voice.

Services include book brainstorming to clarify a project’s purpose, audience, message and structure; manuscript assessments and developmental, substantive and line editing; copyediting and proofreading for fiction and nonfiction; and manuscript coaching and collaborative writing. Wendy also edits business, academic, educational and other professional communications, and offers life story writing to help preserve personal voices and family legacies. Her areas of particular interest include nonfiction, memoir, spirituality, health and wellbeing.

Wendy’s clients include independent authors, people pursuing traditional or self-publishing, businesses, academics and families. She tailors support to each manuscript’s needs and offers a free 20-minute consultation for prospective clients.
