About Wengerd Archery
Wengerd Archery is a small, independent bowmaking business based in Sandpoint, Idaho, founded by M. Trent Wengerd. After building laminated recurves and longbows as a hobby since 2002, Wengerd began working on the business full time in 2017.
The brand focuses on handcrafted bows for bowhunters and archery enthusiasts, with a range of custom takedown recurves, including models such as the Ibex, Old Skool, Chamois, and Tahr, as well as longbows. Its recurve lineup includes bows from 54 to 64 inches. Drawing on a background in custom woodworking and carving, Wengerd also offers custom carving and checkering to help make bows distinctive heirloom pieces.
The website features stock bows, customer photos, product information, and merchandise. Due to a substantial order backlog, Wengerd is temporarily not accepting new custom bow orders while working through existing commitments. Owners of Ibex or Chamois bows can still order additional limbs, and stock bows may become available periodically
