Werken voor Nederland is the careers platform of the Dutch central government, presenting the Rijksoverheid as an employer and helping people find meaningful work in public service. It highlights roles that contribute to national priorities, including safety, housing, education, healthcare, sustainability, digital development and social justice. The site brings together vacancies from ministries and a wide range of government bodies, such as independent administrative organisations and high state institutions.

Visitors can search opportunities by professional field and education level, covering areas from administration, finance and law to healthcare, technology, research, communications and environmental work. The platform also features internships and entry-level routes, including traineeships that offer assignments across different government organisations. In addition to job listings, Werken voor Nederland provides information about the government as an employer, its organisations and employment conditions.

It invites prospective applicants to connect through webinars and in-person events, and offers contact support for questions about vacancies, applications and government organisations. Its central message is that public-sector employees help shape the future of the Netherlands
