Wessex 4x4 Response is a registered charity that consists of dedicated unpaid volunteers who provide emergency logistics for Category 1 & 2 organizations in support of our communities. Operating within the Avon & Somerset, Dorset, and Wiltshire & Swindon Police forces' areas, we also extend our support to other regions through mutual aid. When it comes to emergency response, our volunteers use their own 4x4 vehicles, providing logistics regardless of weather, ground conditions, or location.

We assist the police, play a pivotal role in supporting large events, provide transport for health and care professionals during severe weather, foster community involvement, promote social engagement, support search and rescue teams, engage in multi-agency training, and provide disaster response services such as evacuations, key worker transportation, supply delivery, and road closures during severe flooding.
