Wessexridingclub

Wessex Riding Club is a small, friendly equestrian club with approximately 60 members, welcoming people aged 16 and over. It offers opportunities to develop riding skills, take part in competitions and enjoy time with fellow horse enthusiasts. The club runs regular dressage competitions, including both in-person and virtual events, as well as flatwork and jumping training, mainly at the RDA venue in Wilton. Members can also represent Wessex at British Riding Clubs Area 17 events, as individuals or as part of a team.

Beyond competition and training, the club encourages social riding through its Pleasure Riding Scheme, where members record hours spent hacking, schooling, joining social or charity rides, or taking part in other riding activities, with rosettes available. Talk and Chat evenings offer a relaxed setting to connect with other riders. Wessex also shares event schedules, dressage tests, results, venue information and membership guidance. Membership renewals are managed through Sport80, and the club provides safeguarding contacts and information for members. Volunteers are welcome to help run events and qualifiers.
