West Coast – Lisbon Sailing Centre is a sailing school and RYA training centre based at Oeiras Marina, near Lisbon, Portugal. With 20 years of experience, the centre provides practical and theoretical training in Portuguese and English, using a fleet of five modern, well-maintained boats. Its courses range from introductory sailing and “Start Yachting” to advanced Yachtmaster preparation, alongside powerboat training and RYA modules such as VHF, radar, first aid and fire fighting.
Students can also pursue Portuguese boating qualifications, including Marinheiro, Patrão Local, Patrão de Costa and Patrão de Alto Mar. Beyond formal courses, West Coast offers private sailing lessons, sailing trips and experiences designed to build confidence, add sea miles and develop offshore skills. The centre also provides boat hire and yacht charter, and organises nautical events, regattas and corporate team-building activities.
Online learning resources support students taking classroom theory courses. Combining instruction, on-water practice and recreational sailing, West Coast helps newcomers begin boating and experienced sailors progress toward their next qualification
