The West Coast Soaring Club (WCSC) is a vibrant, volunteer-operated non-profit organization founded in 1975, dedicated to fostering a passionate community of free-flight enthusiasts. Based primarily in British Columbia, WCSC focuses on safe and sustainable practices for paragliding and hang gliding, encouraging education and mentorship for both novice and experienced pilots.
The club offers a range of services, including training programs, tandem flights, and access to various flying sites within the region. In addition, WCSC organizes competitions, maintains critical launch sites from the Lower Mainland to Pemberton, and provides resources like pilot tracking and weather updates for an optimal flying experience.
Deeply committed to environmental stewardship, WCSC works closely with local municipalities and landowners to promote responsible free flight practices. By nurturing a culture of camaraderie and support, the West Coast Soaring Club invites adventurers to experience the thrill of flight while fostering community, friendship, and respect for nature.
