About West Cork Irish Whiskey
West Cork Distillers is a renowned brand and one of the largest distilleries in Ireland. Founded in 2003 by childhood friends, John O'Connell, Denis McCarthy, and Ger McCarthy, it has grown into a team of over 100 dedicated individuals. The distillery, located in Skibbereen, is home to a wide range of craft West Cork Irish Whiskey, including bourbon cask, black cask, and single malt varieties.
Additionally, they pride themselves on producing other exquisite spirits such as Garnish Island Gin. With eight pot stills and two column stills, they produce nearly 4 million liters of alcohol annually. The distillery also boasts five bottling lines that operate 24 hours a day, six days a week, processing around 2,000 bottles per hour.
With seven on-site warehouses storing up to 55,000 casks, they maintain their commitment to quality and tradition.
