About Western Bass Club
The Western Bass Club (WBC), established in 1938, is the oldest chartered bass fishing club in the United States, founded by Ed "Mr. Bass" Frederich. Based in Washington State, the club was formed to address issues related to warm water fisheries, focusing on bass, crappie, and perch. Over the decades, the WBC has played a pivotal role in the conservation and propagation of these species, actively engaging in habitat restoration projects and the fight against water pollution.
