Western Climbing Guides

Western Climbing Guides is a guiding company offering custom climbing adventures across the American West. Its guides are AMGA certified, and the company works with climbers to plan trips suited to their goals, including adventures beyond standard routes. Its offerings span rock, ice, and alpine climbing in a range of distinctive mountain and desert environments.

Rock climbing trips include guided outings in Moab, the Black Canyon, and Unaweep Canyon. In Moab, climbers can develop crack-climbing skills or experience the exposure of sandstone tower routes; the company also highlights adventurous Black Canyon climbs, with long routes ranging from 5.8 to more difficult grades. Ice climbing focuses on frozen waterfalls and icy rock faces in southwest Colorado. Alpine trips feature classic rock, ice, and glacier climbs in the North Cascades, Denali National Park, and other locations.

Western Climbing Guides also creates custom trips for people seeking an off-the-beaten-path adventure. Its website provides information about its guides, policies, and trip conditions, and invites prospective clients to book or contact the company by email or phone.
