Western Energy Alliance is a nonprofit trade association representing 300 companies involved in environmentally responsible exploration and production (E&P) of oil and natural gas in the Western region of the United States. For over four decades, they have been the voice of the industry, advocating for policies that promote job growth, investment, and timely access to federal lands. Their members, including independent oil and gas producers, work on both public and nonpublic lands across states such as California, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming.

Comprised of a dedicated board of directors, advisors, and professional staff, Western Energy Alliance collaborates with stakeholders from the public, policy makers, regulatory agencies, media, business community, and allied associations. They are experts in federal legislative, regulatory, environmental, public lands, and other policy issues. The alliance supports a vibrant western economy and robust job creation while ensuring responsible and sustainable exploration and production practices in the oil and natural gas industry
