West Island Dragons is a breast cancer survivor dragon boat racing team based on Montreal’s West Island in Quebec, Canada. Founded in 2003 by ten women who shared a breast cancer experience, the team brings together members from communities across the region. Its mission is to celebrate life through paddling and show that healthy, active living is possible after breast cancer. The team promotes exercise, sport, and outdoor activities as ways to enhance quality of life, while sharing hope and encouragement with others.

Dragon boat racing is a central team activity, bringing paddlers together in coordinated crews with a steerer and drummer. West Island Dragons participates in races and community events, including the traditional Carnation Ceremony, which honours people affected by breast cancer and remembers those who have died. The organization also shares information about breast cancer survivor dragon boating, introduces its crew and Pink Angels, and offers ways to get involved through joining, sponsorship, and donations.
