Westland Farrier Services

Westland Farrier Services is an owner-operated farrier business serving northern Illinois. Led by Jamie Westland Wandell, the service combines traditional farrier work with a focus on understanding the needs of different horses and disciplines. Jamie has practiced as a farrier since 2000, beginning her training as an apprentice under her father and other farriers before attending Heartland Farrier School for advanced blacksmithing. She has also pursued ongoing education in equine disciplines, corrective shoeing, and working with veterinarians.

Services include horse trims, front shoes with a trim, and four steel shoes with a trim. Add-ons include aluminum shoes and pads, and the business encourages owners to get in touch about services not listed. Prices are subject to change. Jamie’s background includes experience with hunting, dressage, Western dressage, Working Equitation, and breed demonstrations, informing her understanding of varied equine requirements. Westland Farrier Services invites horse owners to contact Jamie by phone, text, or email to discuss their needs and arrange service.
