Westonka Hockey

Mound Westonka Hockey Association (MWHA) is a community- and volunteer-driven youth hockey organization serving Mound, Minnetrista, Watertown, and nearby communities in Minnesota. Its mission is to grow and develop players in a fun, fair, and safe environment, encouraging participation, hockey skills, sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-confidence. The association welcomes players of different ages and skill levels, with a stated goal of building a lifelong love of the game both on and off the ice.

MWHA offers boys’ and girls’ youth hockey programs, including Learn to Skate, Mites, travel hockey, and the MWHA STP program. Teams are organized across age and competitive levels, from Mini Mites and Mites through Squirt, Peewee, and Bantam, with goalie resources also available. The association provides schedules, registration, player and parent guidance, coaching information, skills and skating curriculum, equipment resources, and volunteer support. It also hosts community events and shares opportunities such as open skating and a scholarship application. MWHA states that a player’s first year of association hockey is free.
