Westwood Orchestra

Westwood High School Orchestra, located in Austin, Texas, is an esteemed music program that serves as a cornerstone of the school’s vibrant arts community. Established in 1981, Westwood High School is recognized for its academic excellence and comprehensive curriculum, including advanced classes and a strong focus on the Visual and Performing Arts. The Westwood Symphony Orchestra, the premier ensemble, showcases a legacy of exceptional performance, having received the TMEA Honor Orchestra title five times and the prestigious Texas Music Educators Association Honor Full Orchestra accolade in 2023.

With 226 students organized into multiple ensembles, the orchestra emphasizes collaboration, performing at both UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluations each spring. The program's achievements extend to placing numerous students in the All-Region and Texas All-State Orchestras.
