The service is designed to simplify the refund process: it does not require shopping at partner stores or handling paper forms, and eligible online and in-store purchases can be included when supported by valid invoices. Travellers need to spend more than €100 per trip, with no minimum spend for each individual purchase. Wevat advertises savings of up to 13% of purchase value, with a transparent service fee and no foreign exchange fees. Refunds are available in more than 50 currencies through credit card, bank transfer, Alipay, or WeChat Pay, and users can follow progress in the app.
