Their mission involves ending the exploitation of these beautiful marine mammals by providing them with coastal sanctuaries where they can thrive in a natural setting. With a strong focus on transforming the way people interact with whales and dolphins, the project aims to ensure their well-being and autonomy.

Supported by their lead sponsor, Munchkin, Inc., they are in the process of building a gold-standard sanctuary in Port Hilford Bay, Nova Scotia, with plans to expand globally in the future. By advocating for the retirement of cetaceans from concrete tanks in entertainment parks and aquariums, the Whale Sanctuary Project envisions a world where all marine mammals are treated with respect.
