Whangarei Rowing Club

Whangārei Rowing Club is a community rowing organization based at 68 Riverside Drive on the scenic Hātea River in Whangārei, New Zealand. Established in 1904, it is the country’s northernmost rowing club and has served the local community for more than a century.

The club welcomes complete beginners and experienced competitors, with around 60–70 active rowers across junior, club, and masters levels. Rowers, coxswains, and coaches of all backgrounds are invited to take part in its inclusive club community. Members can develop their fitness, teamwork, and confidence through rowing, supported by coaching, encouragement, and camaraderie.
