What Altitude

WhatAltitude. com is a brand dedicated to providing you with the information you need to know the altitude of your current location. Whether you're curious about your own altitude or need it for geographical purposes, we've got you covered.

With the help of your GPS position, we can accurately display your altitude in either meters or feet, depending on your preference. Altitude, also known as elevation, refers to the height above sea level. Think of it as the official height of the mountain you're standing on.

Please keep in mind that our website utilizes your geographical position to access an external database for altitude lookup. This means that if you're in a tall building, the height of the building will not be accounted for. Created by Jonatan Heyman, this site is a result of his passion for single-purpose websites and his own curiosity about altitude.

While he made it for fun, we hope you find it helpful too. Explore our site to discover your altitude and satisfy your curiosity
