What's On Oldham

The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme is a vital government initiative designed to enrich the lives of children and young people in Oldham during school holidays. Targeting primarily those aged 5 to 16 who are eligible for free school meals, HAF ensures they have access to healthy meals and a variety of engaging activities. Funded by the Department for Education, the programme also welcomes participation from other children and families through paid activities that promote social interaction and learning.

This year, HAF offers an array of school holiday events that include nutritious meals for all attendees, educational sessions on healthy eating and food preparation, and opportunities for physical and enriching experiences. With a focus on providing a safe environment for children to engage with peers, HAF aims to make holidays enjoyable and educational. Parents interested in learning about free school meal benefits or seeking more information can easily get in touch via email or visit the Oldham Council website. HAF is committed to fostering a supportive community for Oldham’s youth.
