As parents of six children with ASD, we understand the importance of movement for children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Neurodiverse children not only need to move their bodies for growth and developmental but also to keep themselves emotionally regulated. We know all to well the challenges faced in getting neurodiverse children to engage in movement activities, particularly when social and other sensory challenges arise creating a barrier to access mainstream team sports. We work with children of all ages and are designing functional movement programs for individuals and groups with the emphasis on FUN! With our passion for neurodiverse children to have access to movement programs and activities that meet their needs, coupled with our combined experience; we are excited to launch: WHAT THE FUN!

What the Fun is an Australian business developing functional movement programs for neurodiverse children and children with special needs. Founded by parents of six children with autism, the brand is shaped by personal understanding of the barriers that can make movement activities and mainstream team sports difficult to access, including social and sensory challenges. Ben Turner is an Australian Olympic weightlifter and coach, a Commonwealth Games gold and silver medalist, and holds a Level 2 National Coaching Accreditation Scheme qualification in Olympic weightlifting. Jessica Turner has a Bachelor of Psychological Science, is undertaking postgraduate study in autism, and has more than five years of disability-support experience.
