Where the pancakes are

Where The Pancakes Are is a London café brand inspired by founder Patricia’s Dutch upbringing and her search for nourishing, comforting pancakes. Since 2016, it has built a following with two cafés, at Borough Market and Battersea Power Station, serving pancakes throughout the day for guests of all ages. Its batter is slow-steeped, and dishes are made from scratch, with a focus on wholesome ingredients and carefully sourced produce.

The menu spans savoury and sweet pancakes, brunches, drinks and seasonal specials. Options include Canadian-style pancakes with streaky bacon and maple syrup, pulled beef pastrami pancakes, and the vegetable-rich Buddha brunch. Sweet choices range from banoffee with salted caramel and marshmallow cream to poached pear with toasted almonds. Drinks include Pact single-estate filter coffee, matcha, hot chocolate, fresh juices and cocktails. The cafés also offer weekday breakfast and lunch deals, takeaway and catering, table bookings, and gift cards. The brand highlights rare-breed meat from Swaledale, RSPCA Assured free-range eggs, organic flour from Shipton Mill and pure maple syrup from Quebec, alongside a close-knit team focused on thoughtful service.
