Whiskey Grain Kennels is a dog-training and breeding business focused on hunting dogs, including British Labradors. Its training program is designed around each dog owner’s goals, whether the dog is being prepared for hunting, hunt tests, or both. Training is offered annually from late winter through early fall, with breaks during hunting season and exceptionally cold months.

The kennel recommends an initial stay of at least three to four months and offers discounts to clients who participate in hunt tests and keep their dogs in training for longer periods. Whiskey Grain Kennels encourages owners to explore hunt tests as a way to keep dogs sharp beyond the relatively short hunting season. The kennel also breeds a small number of litters each year, using proven sires and dams with working qualifications.

When it does not have a suitable litter, it can help clients access puppies through European contacts or refer them to reputable British Labrador breeders in the United States
