Whistler Skating Club

Whistler Skating Club is a nonprofit sports organization established in 1993 and a member of Skate Canada, the national governing body for figure skating in Canada. Based in Whistler, British Columbia, the club provides skating opportunities for people of varied ages and abilities, from young beginners to adults and competitive-level figure skaters. Its programs are held at Meadow Park Sports Centre.

For new skaters, CanSkate offers a nationally developed learn-to-skate curriculum focused on balance, control and agility. Children aged two to four can join Pre-CanSkate, while skaters developing beyond recreational lessons can progress through Junior Academy and STARSkate programs. Intermediate and advanced STARSkate participants build skills in areas including skating skills, ice dance, free skate and interpretive, with opportunities for assessment and competition. Adult options include skills development, adult CanSkate and synchronized skating.

The club emphasizes fun, active learning and progression at each skater’s own pace, with instruction from trained and certified coaches.
