This free development programme is for colleagues from global majority backgrounds, including academic and professional services staff identifying as Black, Asian, or other Minority Ethnicities, who aspire to move into senior leadership within the next 12–18 months. To be eligible for this programme, you need to be working at grade 8 or above (Leeds and Sheffield) or grade 7 or above (York). About White Rose University Consortium
The White Rose University Consortium is a collaborative partnership between the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York. It works across the three institutions to help people from all backgrounds thrive, complementing existing university support with practical development programmes, initiatives and resources. Its community includes professional services colleagues and researchers, from postgraduate researchers and postdoctoral staff to fellows and academics.
The Consortium offers career development and networking opportunities, supports cross-institutional projects, and connects people through its White Rose Community. Its programmes include Crucible, Prosper, the PhD Careers Fair and Equity in Leadership. The latter is a free development programme for eligible colleagues from global majority backgrounds who aspire to senior leadership, with ongoing support after the programme. The Established Researchers Hub provides resources such as personas and peer discussion guides, while events, career stories and news help members share experiences and ideas.
Through collaboration with institutional, regional and national partners, the White Rose University Consortium aims to create sustained benefits for individuals, communities and the Yorkshire and Humber region.
