White Sharks

White Sharks Hockey Club is a community-based ice hockey association founded in 2003 in Kőbánya, Budapest’s 10th district. Its mission is to encourage local sport and make ice hockey accessible, while giving young players the opportunity to develop in a supportive team environment. The club runs youth development groups across several age categories, including U8, U10, U12 and U14, and welcomes boys and girls to try hockey without prior skating experience. Coaches help nurture players’ skills and support talented athletes in progressing towards competitive sport.

The club is based at the Kőbányai WS Ice Rink, a covered facility with approximately 450 square metres of ice beneath an 800-square-metre structure. The rink offers public skating, children’s and adults’ skating lessons, skate hire, professional skate sharpening and rink rental. Visitors can also enjoy a buffet, and curling is listed among the facility’s activities. The club and rink provide opportunities for families, beginners and experienced skaters to take part in ice sports and recreation.
