UsWHITETAIL TACTICAL

Whitetail Tactical is an outdoor technology brand focused on helping hunters understand how their clothing and equipment may appear to deer and other hooved animals. Its central offering is the Whitetail Tactical app, available through the App Store and Google Play. Using patented multispectral imaging technology developed with deer-vision expert Dr. Jay Neitz, the app’s Deer Vision Camera transforms photos to represent how ungulates perceive daytime colors. Users can photograph their gear or hunting surroundings and assess whether colors blend into the environment, appear overly uniform, or stand out. The app can also help users consider how blaze garments may look to wildlife.

The company’s work grew from founder Jared Burrell’s interest in camouflage and ungulate vision, including questions about visibility in hunting settings. Whitetail Tactical says it holds exclusive rights to the patent for Multi Spectral Imaging with Differential Visualizability in Discreet Visualization Domains, Patent No. 8,084,078. The brand also introduces its team and pro staff and invites interested outdoor enthusiasts to inquire about joining.
