Whitewatertrainingscenter Baumgarten

White Water Training Center Baumgarten is a specialist training provider in the Salzburg region, focused on safety and rescue skills for whitewater, rivers, and flood conditions. Founded by experienced raft guides, safety kayakers, and canyoning guides, the center draws on practical experience gained across five continents. Its programs combine hands-on instruction with realistic scenarios and follow internationally recognized Rescue 3 Europe and Rescue 3 International standards.

Courses serve recreational paddlers, professional river users, outdoor specialists, and emergency water-rescue teams. Whitewater options range from a foundation course to recreational, professional, and advanced technician training. Swiftwater and flood rescue courses teach participants to recognize hazards, protect themselves, and carry out rescues, with advanced training covering night operations and technical extractions. The center also lists International Rafting Federation guide and trip-leader courses, which assess professional river skills against IRF standards. NOLS wilderness first-aid programs are offered among its course categories. Through practical training and established certification pathways, Baumgarten aims to help make whitewater activities safer.
