WHYMAP

WHYMAP, a program under the Bundesanstalt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe (BGR), is an innovative initiative focused on advancing geosciences and resource management. This network aims to provide comprehensive maps and data services that support scientific research and inform public policy related to geological resources. WHYMAP offers a robust map viewer and various map services, enabling users to access a wealth of geospatial information efficiently.

The program emphasizes collaboration and knowledge sharing among experts in the geosciences, fostering a deeper understanding of geological resources and their sustainable management. With a commitment to transparency and accessibility, WHYMAP also provides newsletters and an extended service sitemap, making valuable resources readily available to its audience.

The initiative is not just about maps; it encompasses a rich history of geoscientific exploration and aims to contribute significantly to the knowledge base of geology and natural resource management in Germany and beyond. For further engagement, interested individuals can find contact information and relevant themes on the official page.
