WhyNot Ponys is a small hobby breeding operation focused on Lewitzer ponies and German Riding Ponies (Deutsche Reitponys). Its breeding aims to produce capable, rideable ponies in a variety of colours that are manageable for children. The program also looks beyond leisure riding: WhyNot Ponys seeks ponies with the potential to participate in sport, particularly dressage and jumping. To support these goals, the breeder works with established bloodlines and emphasizes careful, human-oriented rearing.
The website introduces the operation’s stallions, mares and youngstock, including named ponies such as WhyNot Gaja, WhyNot Ziva, WhyNot Khenya and WhyNot Zazou, alongside Taza and Bajan. It also features images and updates about foals, including the 2025 foal crop; some of those foals are offered for sale. The site provides information about the breeding program and the ponies themselves, with photographs documenting the animals and their development. WhyNot Ponys notes that the images are protected by copyright and asks visitors to request permission before downloading them.
