About Wiarton Keppel International Airport
Wiarton Keppel International Airport is a regional airport owned and operated by the Township of Georgian Bluffs. Located just outside Wiarton, Ontario, on the Bruce Peninsula and Niagara Escarpment, it serves Grey and Bruce counties and welcomes commercial and recreational pilots, visitors, and business professionals. The airport is approximately two hours north of Toronto and operates year-round, with seasonal customs entry for international flights from May 1 to October 31.
The Transport Canada-certified facility covers 800 acres and has two runways: a paved primary runway measuring 5,033 feet and a packed-gravel secondary runway measuring 3,456 feet. Airport services and amenities include AVGAS and Jet A fuel, aircraft parking, a public apron, and a terminal with a pilot lounge and private shower, available around the clock. A human weather observer is onsite 24 hours a day, and the primary runway offers several IFR approaches. As a Canada Customs Airport of Entry, Wiarton Keppel also supports regional travel and business development. The terminal honours Eileen Vollick, Canada’s first licensed female pilot.
