About Wickramaratnes
The Wickramaratne Group of Companies has a long and inspiring history that began with its founder, Mr. David Wickramaratne, in 1949. Starting with just a few coppers in his pocket, Mr.
Wickramaratne joined his uncle's business as an assistant. In 1965, he established his own business called Wickramaratnes in Colombo. Initially, the company provided food supplies to the Sri Lankan Armed Forces, directly sourcing from local farmers and passing on the benefits to them.
Today, Wickramaratnes has evolved into a conglomerate with six subsidiary companies, spanning construction to agriculture.
