Wielerronde Westbroek

Wielerronde Westbroek is a community-led cycling event and village celebration in Westbroek, bringing together sport and social activities for residents and visitors of all ages. Organized with the support of many volunteers, the event has grown into a multi-day gathering where participants and spectators can enjoy a welcoming atmosphere alongside cycling competitions. The 2027 edition is scheduled for 27 and 28 August, with registration information available through the event’s website.

The event also supports Spieren voor Spieren, a foundation whose mission is to overcome muscle diseases in children. Proceeds from the village celebration benefit the foundation, allowing the community to put its healthy muscles to work for children living with muscle conditions.

Local cycling club Wielertoervereniging Westbroek (WTV Westbroek) contributes through members’ volunteer work and participation in races. The club also promotes cycling among young people by organizing the Dikke Banden Race on Friday evening. With its mix of community involvement, cycling and charitable purpose, Wielerronde Westbroek offers an inclusive sporting celebration rooted in local participation.
