Wiesenfreunde Stooge

Wiesenfreunde Stooge e. V. is a community association dedicated to keeping local traditions alive in Stooge.

Founded in 2015, the organization celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2025 and continues to bring residents together through seasonal activities and shared events. A central part of its work is helping ensure that the weekly “Wiese” gathering takes place on Wednesdays, a tradition the group has supported since 2015 and even somewhat earlier. The association also organizes the annual Maypole-raising celebration, including the raising itself and a related lottery.

Its website provides information about the club, its board, event dates, and the history of its activities. For families and younger community members, Wiesenfreunde Stooge offers a holiday program that includes a potato harvest, described as a highlight for both children and adults. Rather than presenting commercial products or services, the association focuses on local customs, seasonal events, and opportunities for people of different ages to participate in community life.

Through these activities, it helps preserve Stooge’s traditions and encourage community involvement
