WIJS! Breda is a neighbourhood-based support team for children, young people and families in Prinsenbeek and designated areas of Breda. Its professionals bring different areas of expertise in youth and family support, helping residents address questions about parenting and growing up close to home. The team considers the child’s circumstances alongside family relationships and the wider support network, and works with families to identify practical solutions that suit their needs.

WIJS! Breda can help with concerns involving friendships, relationships, emotions, school, bullying, smoking, alcohol, violence, separation, resilience, safety and mental health. It also provides specialist youth support when needed, involving an external youth care provider while keeping the family’s regular WIJS! Breda contact person involved. Families have one youth professional to help coordinate support, including when several people or services are involved. The team also organises group training sessions where participants learn together.

Children, young people and parents or caregivers can contact WIJS! Breda by phone or online form.
