Wikilala matbaanın icadından sonra basılmış Osmanlıca metinler (gazete, dergi, kitap ve belge) içerisinde "arama" yapılmasına olanak sağlayan bir dijital kütüphanedir. Meraklıların veya akademik çalışmalar yapan araştırmacıların halihazırda Osmanlıca metinlerde latin harfleriyle arama yapabilmelerine imkân tanıyan bir kütüphane bulunmamaktadır. Dijital baskı çağına gelinceye dek araştırmacılar Osmanlıca metinler içerisinde aradıklarını bulabilmek için sayfalarca konu başlığını taramak, hatta satır satır metin okumak zorundaydılar. Oysa Wikilala sayesinde tek bir hamle ile aradıkları tüm başlık ve içeriklere saliseler içerisinde ulaşabilirler.

About Wikilala
Wikilala is a digital library that allows users to search for Ottoman Turkish texts (newspapers, magazines, books, and documents) that were printed after the invention of the printing press. Prior to the digital age, researchers had to manually search through pages and even read line by line in order to find what they were looking for within Ottoman Turkish texts. However, Wikilala offers a breakthrough solution by enabling users to instantly access their desired titles and content with just a single search.
Our mission is to illuminate a hidden landscape that has been shrouded in darkness for two centuries, providing researchers and enthusiasts in various fields such as culture, art, history, literature, and architecture with the opportunity to rediscover even the finest details. In addition to facilitating access, we aim to Latinize and simplify the texts for a wider audience. Our vision is to make millions of pages of written materials produced between 1729 and 1928 easily and quickly accessible, and to share this wealth of knowledge with the world.
