Wildfire Foundation

The Wildfire Foundation, operated by Wildfire Prevention Inc., is a California-based nonprofit focused on helping communities and residents reduce wildfire risk and build resilience. It combines science-based wildfire education with practical tools and support, addressing the community engagement and management challenges that can limit local prevention efforts.

The organization assists cities, communities, homeowners associations, and volunteers in forming Fire Safe Councils and achieving recognition as NFPA Firewise Communities. Its services include wildfire risk assessment and Community Wildfire Protection Plan consulting, stakeholder and leadership development, grant guidance, mapping resources, and online and in-person training. Training covers Firewise and HOA programs, residential wildfire assessment, home hardening, and defensible space for contractors and landscapers.

The Foundation’s Resident Management System™ provides digital tools to engage and educate residents, collect activity submissions, track participation, and generate reports for Firewise compliance. It also offers capacity-building support, websites, marketing, and educational content to help organizations communicate consistently and measure progress.
