Wild Juniper Nursery

Wild Juniper Nursery is a family-run plant nursery in Cedar, Michigan, founded by Tom Jessmore and operated with his wife, Terri. The couple grows more than 450 varieties of perennials, shrubs, and ornamental trees, nurturing plants from seed and cuttings for several years to help them thrive in Northern Michigan’s climate. Its selection includes native, fruit-bearing, and specialty plants, as well as some Proven Winners varieties—offering options that may be difficult to find at large garden retailers. The nursery says its plants are grown with little to no pesticide use, relying primarily on sunlight and water.

Wild Juniper Nursery welcomes both experienced gardeners and beginners, and its team is glad to help customers choose plants suited to their landscapes. In addition to selling plants, the business offers landscape design and services, gift cards, and gardening inspiration through articles and resources. Topics include planting flower beds and growing strawberries. With an emphasis on the enjoyment and benefits of gardening, Wild Juniper Nursery serves local plant enthusiasts and anyone looking to create a garden of their own.
