The Southern African Wildlife College (SAWC) is an accredited higher education and training institution focused on conserving Africa’s natural resources and biodiversity. Working with conservation agencies, governments, local communities and other educational institutions, the College combines practical learning with knowledge and skills development. Its vision is to inspire everyone it trains and engages with to help conserve the natural world.

SAWC offers programmes in natural resource management, nature conservation and field ranger training, including armed and unarmed law enforcement courses. Its wider offering includes short and online courses, youth skills development, field guide training, responsible resource management and community-focused initiatives. The College also supports conservation through its K9 and aerial support units, applied learning and research, and innovation and leadership hubs.

With more than 23,000 alumni from 60 countries, whose work spans conservation roles and parks across Africa, SAWC aims to develop capable conservation leaders and change-makers. The College also partners with organisations and communities, and invites supporters to contribute through donations, sponsorships and other partnerships.
