However, there is hope. We possess the necessary tools, knowledge, and solutions to make a difference. Notably, the 50th anniversary of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species has played a vital role in safeguarding thousands of plant and animal species.

Additionally, the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework signifies an important milestone toward healing our planet. Emphasizing this year's theme of 'Partnerships for Wildlife Conservation,' collaboration between governments, civil society, and the private sector is essential to translating commitment into action. Bold steps, including reducing emissions, promoting renewable energy, and enhancing climate resilience, are urgently needed.

Furthermore, we must prioritize the voices of local communities and indigenous peoples, who serve as the most effective guardians of biodiversity. Together, let us preserve natural habitats and create a thriving future for all living beings
