Wildlife Rescue

The Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation Center is Armenia's pioneering facility dedicated to the rescue, care, and rehabilitation of injured wild animals. Established in collaboration with the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Values (FPWC), the Ministry of Nature Protection, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, this center has been operating since May 6, 2016. Its mission is to save and nurture a variety of local and exotic species, particularly those suffering from abandonment, injury, or abuse.

Located in the Caucasian Biodiversity Reserve, the center provides a safe haven for these animals, ensuring specialized care under expert supervision. Notable success stories include the rescue and subsequent rehabilitation of bears and other wildlife from harsh conditions, leading to their relocation to suitable sanctuaries, both within Armenia and abroad. The center also emphasizes public involvement through volunteer initiatives and donations to support its crucial work in wildlife conservation and education.
