Wildlife Response

Wildlife Response, Inc. (WRI) is a dedicated 501(c)(3) volunteer organization committed to the rehabilitation of orphaned, injured, and displaced native wildlife. Located in Virginia Beach, WRI focuses on raising public awareness about wildlife care and rehabilitation. The organization relies primarily on private donations to fund its essential programs and services, including a future Wildlife Response and Rehabilitation Center set to open in 2025. This facility will serve as a key resource for the community, allowing citizens, animal control officers, and agencies to drop off wildlife and facilitating their triage and transfer to permitted rehabilitators.

In addition to direct wildlife care, WRI offers extensive education and training opportunities, ranging from online courses to onsite workshops for aspiring wildlife rehabilitators. They also provide information about local wildlife, including rescue and transport tips, along with various volunteer opportunities for individuals interested in making a difference. With a hands-on approach and a commitment to community engagement, WRI stands at the forefront of wildlife conservation efforts in the region.
