WILD RICE

Wild Rice is a leading professional theatre company in Singapore, founded by Ivan Heng, an internationally acclaimed and award-winning theatre practitioner, in 2000. The company's mission is to provide an open forum for the shared experience of theatre, celebrating diversity and reflecting on the problems and possibilities of our times. They present productions that inspire, challenge, and entertain audiences, both in Singapore and worldwide.

Wild Rice is committed to maintaining the highest standards in their creative work, showcasing Singapore's theatrical talent. Their programming for the main stage includes new and original works, as well as new interpretations of world classics and the Singapore repertoire. In addition, they have divisions such as the Wild Rice Academy, First Stage, Singapore Youth Theatre, and Young & Wild, which offer drama and training programs for young talents.

Wild Rice @ Funan, their new home in Singapore's civic and cultural district, features the country's only dedicated thrust stage within The Ngee Ann Kongsi Theatre. It is a groundbreaking performing arts complex that aims to leave a legacy of artistic excellence by creating and presenting the best of Singapore theatre while nurturing future artists and audiences.
