Wild Sun Rescue Center is a non-profit organization based in Cabuya, Costa Rica. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release the local wildlife, while also addressing the threats they face in their natural habitat. We provide care and treatment to sick, injured, and orphaned animals impacted by electrocution, dog and cat attacks, and illegal pet trade.

Our ultimate goal is to reintroduce each animal back into the wild. In addition to our animal care efforts, we actively promote conservation and offer internships and veterinary externships to increase community involvement and raise global awareness about conservation in Costa Rica. You can support our work in multiple ways, including volunteering, donating, or purchasing our original merchandise.

Another way to contribute is by staying at our Jungle Lodge, where you can relax and enjoy watching macaws fly overhead, with the proceeds directly benefiting the rescue center. Wild Sun Rescue Center is located near the Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve, which was the first protected area in Costa Rica. This reserve plays a crucial role in the preservation of 1,788 hectares of ocean and 1,270 hectares of tropical forest, home to numerous native and endangered species.
