Welcome to Wilhelm Farm! Our 46-acre farm, located in North Gran, is a quintessential New England small farm and forest property. Our farm has been owned by the Wilhelm family for over 80 years, and during this time, we have prioritized sustainable land management and conservation efforts. The majority of our land is wooded, with slopes that are unsuitable for cultivation.

As such, we have focused on managing the woods to produce timber, firewood, and wildlife habitats. In the tillable areas, we have traditionally grown food for our family and sold or bartered any surplus. Building on this legacy, we are now introducing agroforestry practices and expanding our knowledge of self-sufficiency.

Thanks to a Conservation Innovation Grant from the Natural Resource Conservation Service, we are documenting and sharing our work to promote sustainable farming methods.
