The Williams Community Forest Project (WCFP) is an ecological non-profit organization based in Williams, Oregon. Our mission is to protect and preserve the Williams watershed and Oregon ecosystems through science-based studies, education, recreation, and activism. Nestled in the ecologically diverse Siskiyou mountains and surrounded by 30,000 acres of forest lands, Williams is a small community with a rich history as a logging and mining town.
Today, it is home to numerous family-owned and operated farms that grow vegetables, seeds, and herbs for national and international markets, many of which are certified Organic. At WCFP, we offer various initiatives and programs to fulfill our mission. These include the protection of Penn Butte & Late Mungers Wildlands, the preservation and maintenance of the Layton Ditch Trail, and the Forest Watch Program.
Our organization also provides regular news and updates on our projects and hosts community events to raise awareness and engage the public. Join us in supporting our mission to protect our forests and contribute to the sustainability of Oregon's ecosystems.
