About Willies Restaurante
Willie’s Restaurante is a dining destination in Vilamoura, Algarve, founded by chef Willie Wurger and his wife, Laila. Set in a quiet residential area near the Pinhal golf course, the restaurant is known for modern international cuisine shaped by the chef’s skill, creativity and passion. Born in Germany, Willie trained at hotel school and gained experience in Michelin-starred restaurants before moving to the Algarve in 1985.
His career includes Michelin stars at Relais & Châteaux Hotel La Reserve and Restaurante São Gabriel. Willie’s earned a Michelin star in 2006 and retained it through 2019, a distinction the restaurant hopes to regain through fresh ideas, an evolving food offering and continued attention to service and the guest experience. The menu features starters, main courses and desserts, complemented by a wine menu.
Willie’s offers a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere and serves dinner from 7:00 to 11:00 p. m., closing on Sundays. Guests can contact the restaurant by phone or make a reservation
