GWTA

Greater Wilmington Tennis Association (GWTA) is a community-focused organization dedicated to promoting and growing tennis in the Greater Wilmington area of North Carolina. Its mission is supported by volunteers who help expand grassroots participation and make tennis accessible as a healthy form of recreation and physical fitness. GWTA develops programs for adult and junior players of all skill levels and backgrounds, working across public facilities, schools, and private facilities.

Its offerings include adult beginner programs and leagues, junior programming, tennis ladders, and adaptive opportunities through its Abilities Tennis and wheelchair tennis programs. The association also connects residents with local tennis events, tournaments, scholarships, court reservations, and community resources. In addition to organizing activities, GWTA coordinates with area tennis organizations and parks and recreation departments, serving as a resource for tennis-related initiatives.
